REMOTE MEETING WILL BE BROADCAST LIVE ON EDUCATIONAL ACCESS PROGRAMMING (EDTV), PLYMOUTH, MA MONDAY, MAY 4, 2020 @ 7:00 P.M. The Public is encouraged to submit written testimony/comments as there will be no in-person public comments at the May 4, 2020, School Committee meeting. Public Comment Email: mgrimes@plymouth.k12.ma.us Plymouth School Committee is holding their hearing and vote on School Choice on Monday, May 4th. Plymouth Public Schools, as it has for many years, is planning to opt out of school choice for SY20-21. Once this vote is taken and recorded on May 4th, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education will be formally notified on May 5, 2020. People who wish to participate in public comment may email Mrs. Peg Grimes, School Committee Clerk of the Board, any time after this notice is posted up until 7:45 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2020. Every effort will be made to set aside time at the end of the school committee meeting for Mrs. Grimes to read all commentary or questions to the School Committee members. Emails sent to Mrs. Grimes should include the full name and current address of the submitter so they can be read and recorded into the meeting minutes. Pursuant to Governor Baker’s March 12, 2020 Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law, G.L. c. 30A, §18, and the Governor’s March 15, 2020 Order imposing strict limitation on the number of people that may gather in one place, this meeting will be conducted via remote participation to the greatest extent possible. Specific information and the general guidelines for remote participation by members of the public and/or parties with a right and/or requirement to attend this meeting can be found on the Town of Plymouth’s website, at https://www.plymouth-ma.gov/. For this meeting, members of the public who wish to watch the meeting may do so by tuning into your Educational Access Programming channel (Channel 14 Comcast; Channel 45 Verizon). No in-person attendance of members of the public will be permitted, but every effort will be made to ensure that the public can adequately access the proceedings in real time, via technological means. A recording of the meeting will also be uploaded to the Plymouth Public Schools YouTube Channel as soon as possible after the meeting at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCU8e8qsJIPXW7hRFoqga7sw. In compliance with Open Meeting Law, this agenda lists all topics that the chair reasonably anticipates, 48 hours in advance, will be discussed at the meeting.
